I loved all the routes. I have yet to complete Nemu and therefore, Sasami, but I've loved each route in their uniqueness. Almost every route has brought me to tears in some parts. Each story is so well-written and emotional and inspiring. Even the hentai scenes which I enabled, were well done. This is a fantastic VN.. Score: 8 / 10First: do NOT download the 18+ patch. It's basically a gross animation gimmick that distracts from the emotional aspects of the story; and considering Love In Space's normally strong writing they don't need it. If they wanted to code animation, they should've used it to animate the characters in-game, or used that time to create more in-game art. That said, Shining Song Starnova is a very good VN with nice art design and direction, snappy dialogue, infrequent but meaningful decision making, 14 dramatic storylines (2 for each girl), and the usual good humor. Additionally, Love In Space did real research on the idol industry in Japan; specifically what it's actually like (the good and the bad) for boys and girls in that industry. So, if you enjoy j-pop idol groups like AKB48, and anime series' such as Idolmaster or Love Live, you will probably like Shining Song Starnova. Bonus: if you have played Love In Space's previous games, you will have fun discovering the many SunRider Easter eggs hidden throughout the game, some cleverly so.. Ignore the low playtime as i have completed the game through a Denpasoft download provided by backerkit. So what can i say about shining song starnova? First it must be noted that the production values are great and the best yet for a game made by love in space, featuring some nice animations, movies, CG's and of course the main attraction for this game it's soundtrack. The storyline plots however are in my opinion of mixed quality. This is love in spaces largest undertaking project in terms of word count and length and the extra volume doesn't reward in some instances. The main storyline up until the choices is good giving us a little snippet of the idol world and each of the heroines and their personalities, when it comes to each of the storylines though this is when it becomes mixed imo. I wont go into details of specific storylines as this will spoil the game/visual novel for others however, i can note that i enjoyed the storylines for: Nattan, Aki, Mariya and Mika although i think the pacing was probably somewhat off for Mika's. The other storylines for Nemu, Sasami and Julie however, i did not enjoy so much. Issues with pacing, subject matter and how it was dealt with and also plausibility of some of the plot twists and the scenarios involved didn't appear convincing or alternatively brushed over significant matters trivialising some in certain aspects which if explored deeper may have led to a richer more rewarding conclusion to the individual heroines storyline. Despite some issues with certain storylines this game/visual novel is still an enjoyable experience and a nice attempt by Love in Space to attempt a different IP with some familiarity brought across from previous attempts. Is this game worth the price they charge i can't tell you honestly yes or no as i am undecided myself having backed the project, this is something i recommend you work out for yourself by trying the demo that is available. In conclusion there is enough to this game for me to give it a 7/10 mainly as a result of the production values, this isn't Love in Spaces finest work but, with a new IP teething issues can be expected and it still provides hours of entertainment regardless.. Excellent storyline! Another winner from the Love in Space team! I really love the great storylines and the theme song. With the stories of seven main characters to go through, there is immense play value. What blows my socks away each time I start the game though, is the realisation that the theme song is actually sung by the voice actors of the characters - go search YouTube for the interviews with them; they are really talented, dedicated professionals, and hearing the theme song sung by them is fantastic each time.I have been approaching the game a bit differently from the way I played the other games from Love in Space, in that I am not finishing one girl's storyline or arc before I start another. I started with Aki's arc because what interested me about Aki's character is that she is voiced by Hayase Yayoi, the same voice talent who voiced Cosette Cosmos in [Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius] and [Sunrider: Liberation Day]. I then switched to Mika's arc because Aki mentioned going to Mika's apartment, and I wanted to see if this had actually happened in Mika's arc, and it had! This is really good storytelling - just what I have come to expect from Love in Space!! The themes of friendship and sacrifice in the pursuit of a dream are powerful ones in this game, and I believe they reflect the passion and hard work that Love in Space and Sekai Project have put into this work. There's no way the characters in this game can go through all that hardship without the writer knowing what he's talking about. Well done, guys - I wish this never ends!. I like the visual novel, it has great character backstories that give each character their own personality allowing us to feel the relatable sensation even if you never experienced the situation that a character has gone through, you can get a sensation of what it may be like through the detail in each story. Though remember this is my personal opinion based on my viewpoint. This isnt a game that everyone would probably enjoy but it was a game that I enjoyed due to it having a good story and a way to relate to the characters.. You always knew♥♥♥♥♥♥was about to go down when you heard that suspenseful violin music. 10 out of 10 game. One of the best Visual Novels I have ever read. Also Mariya is best girl without a doubt.. No gameplay no sunrider what the ♥♥♥♥ is even the point. I dont give a damn about idols irl this was supposed to be management game you dont get to do anything. Stopped """"playing"""" after like an hour.. Holy♥♥♥♥♥♥ This was boring as f-ck. No emotional attachment to any characters what so ever. Imagine romancing cardboard. Thats what this game felt like for me. Maybe it's just me but I really hated this game. It had potential to be another GREAT management game with romance like Sunrider Academy but it wasted it.Was not fun at all. Refunded
